Write-ability Storms the City

Write-ability will be Storming the City in 2021-2022, thanks to City of Melbourne funding.

Writers Victoria are delighted to announce our new city based-program for writers with disability, Storming the City  which will run in the City of Melbourne in 2021-22 thanks to City of Melbourne’s Arts and Creative Investments Partnership program.  Write-ability Program Manager Lyndel Caffrey said, “We are thrilled to receive funding across 2021–22 to present Storming the City, which aims to return Write-ability to its city-based roots, encouraging the next generation of metropolitan-based writers with disability.” Funding for Storming the City will support the development of ongoing writing groups for writers with disability and provide training, volunteering, employment and showcasing opportunities. Writers Victoria will also work with writers with disability to develop and present public events, as well as commissioning and publishing their writing.
