Summary:

In this online course, students will develop a body of short nonfiction prose works under the mentorship and supervision of Monica Dux. Through workshopping and peer and expert feedback, students will develop their creative non-fiction work and identify opportunities and areas for improvement. This online course actively encourages sharing of your work with your cohort as well as with the tutor.

Learning Outcomes:

 

In this course, students will:

  • Develop a body of short nonfiction prose;

  • Engage productively with expert feedback;

  • Identify and build on recurring themes in their own writing;

  • Develop strategies for sharp self-editing; and

  • Read generatively as a writer.

 

Pieces of up to 1200 words due 11:55pm Thursdays 3 March, 7 April, 5 May, 2 June, 30 June
