The Writers Victoria office is located on the lands of the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. Writers Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of all the lands on which we work, meet and live across Victoria and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. First Nations people were the first storytellers on this land, which always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

The organisation has a history of supporting writers who face barriers in the development of their writing careers, such as regional writers, writers with disability, and writers from culturally and linguistically diverse communities – including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander writers.
