Join Koraly Dimitriadis for a workshop that will inspire you to push your boundaries, shed your inhibitions, and get to the heart of what it is you want to express. If you are looking for a prescriptive workshop on the correct way to write, then this is not for you. This intimate workshop will require participants to be fully open to the experience of their truth, and sharing their writing and/or performance with the group.

You will learn:

  • How to identify what’s holding you back and overcome hurdles to access your true voice
  • Why do we care so much about what people think and how does that affect our writing?
  • How to identify the best medium/s for what it is you are trying to express, and how to carry writing across mediums to convey different meaning
  • Bring any kind of writing to class that you want to develop, or write something new in class, Koraly will provided one-on-one feedback and you will also learn how to workshop honestly with other writers
  • How to get your writing out there, especially when it isn’t conventional

 

About Koraly Dimitriadis

Koraly Dimitriadis is the author of ‘Love and F-k Poems’ and ‘Just Give Me The Pills’. ‘Love and F—k Poems’ was initially a self-published zine, with rights sold into the UK. Her theatre show “Saying The Wrong Things” premiered at La Mama. Koraly received funding from Australia Council to create films of her poetry. She was awarded a Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellowship for her novel Divided Island. Koraly is also an editor and publisher, and an opinion writer for the Australian media. She has been published in The Washington Post. Koraly was the recipient of the 2019 UNESCO City of Literature residency in Krakow.
